Creating an event: a step-by-step guide

Events allow you to promote experiences such as sample sales, trunk shows, designer weekends and VIP appointments directly through Revide.

Creating an event takes just four steps.

Step 1: Event Details

Begin by providing the basic information about your event.

You'll need to add:

  • Event title
  • Event type
  • Description
  • Price (leave blank or £0 for a free event)
  • Currency

Tip

Use a clear title that tells brides exactly what the event is.

Examples include:

  • Summer Sample Sale
  • Designer Trunk Show
  • Accessories Weekend
  • VIP Bridal Event

Your description should explain:

  • what brides can expect
  • which designers are featured
  • any special offers
  • who the event is suitable for

Step 2: Upload Images and Videos

Strong imagery helps your event stand out.

You can upload:

  • images
  • videos

High-quality photographs can help brides understand the style and atmosphere of the event before they book.

Step 3: Create Event Sessions

This is the most important step.

Think of an event as the overall experience, and sessions as the individual appointment slots available during that event.

Example

Imagine you're hosting a sample sale from 9am until 4pm and each appointment lasts one hour.

You would create separate sessions such as:

  • 9:00am – 10:00am
  • 10:00am – 11:00am
  • 11:00am – 12:00pm
  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm
  • 1:00pm – 2:00pm
  • 2:00pm – 3:00pm
  • 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Each session represents a bookable appointment time.

You can add as many sessions as you need.

Want time between appointments?

If you'd like some breathing space between brides for things like:

  • tidying changing rooms
  • refreshments
  • note taking
  • comfort breaks
  • resetting the space

simply leave gaps between your sessions.

Example: 30-minute buffers

If your appointments last one hour but you'd like a 30-minute break between each bride, you could create sessions like:

  • 9:00am – 10:00am
  • 10:30am – 11:30am
  • 12:00pm – 1:00pm
  • 1:30pm – 2:30pm

Revide will only allow brides to book the sessions you create.

Example: 15-minute buffers

You might prefer:

  • 9:00am – 10:00am
  • 10:15am – 11:15am
  • 11:30am – 12:30pm

Understanding Max Capacity

Max Capacity refers to how many brides your store can accommodate at the same time.

Example 1: One appointment at a time

If you have:

  • one changing room
  • one stylist
  • one bride at a time

then your Max Capacity should be:

1

This means only one bride can book each session.

Example 2: Two appointments at the same time

If you have:

  • two changing rooms
  • two stylists
  • space to comfortably serve two brides simultaneously

then your Max Capacity should be:

2

This means two brides can book the same session.

Example 3: Three appointments at the same time

If your store has the space and team to serve three brides at once, set your Max Capacity to:

3

In simple terms

Sessions determine when brides can book.

Max Capacity determines how many brides can book that session.

You can choose to highlight designers from:

  • your own store collection
  • the wider Revide designer collection

Featuring designers helps brides understand what they can expect from the event and may increase interest and bookings.

Create Your Event

Once you're happy, select Create Event and your event will become visible on Revide.

Brides will then be able to discover your event and book available sessions.
