I'm worried I'm doing this wrong
If you're feeling overwhelmed, confused or unsure where to start, you're not alone.
In fact, many brides wonder if they're somehow "doing wedding dress shopping wrong."
The good news?
You're probably doing just fine.
I haven't started shopping yet
That's okay.
Whether your wedding is two years away or just around the corner, there's no perfect timeline and no reason to panic.
I don't know what style I like
Most brides don't.
You don't need to arrive at your first appointment knowing exactly what you're looking for.
That's part of the experience.
I said yes to the first dress I tried on
Wonderful.
Finding your dress quickly doesn't mean you've missed out.
If you love it, that's what matters.
I've visited several stores and still haven't found my dress
That's okay too.
Every bride's journey is different, and some simply need more time than others.
I don't want a big entourage
You don't need one.
Some brides bring six people.
Some bring one.
Some come on their own.
There's no right or wrong approach.
I don't know all the bridal terminology
You don't need to.
Nobody expects you to know the difference between every silhouette, fabric or neckline.
That's what bridal stylists are there for.
I'm worried about my size
Please don't be.
Bridal stores help brides of all shapes and sizes every day.
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable, confident and supported.
I don't think I'll have "the moment"
Some brides cry.
Some don't.
Some know immediately.
Some need time.
All of those experiences are completely normal.
There is no perfect way to do this
Finding your dress isn't a test.
There are no marks, no grades and no prizes for doing things a certain way.
Your journey is your own.
